Sunday 24th May 2026, saw a rare visit to Mevagissey, of the world’s only seagoing paddle-steamer Waverley (first visit since 1997).
Passengers were picked up, who enjoyed a round trip to Eddystone Lighthouse and returned to Mevagissey, hugging the beautiful coastline between Plymouth, Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey.
It is hoped that this becomes a much more regular occurrence, as the whole village was hugely busy, also boosted by Lifeboat Day.
