1864 Proposed works to construct Outer Harbour (Not completed and then radically differently in 1888)
Following the Great Blizzard of 1891 which destroyed the end sections of Outer Harbour built just 3 years earlier, proposed plans dated June 1891 for a shorter stronger set of piers (fundamentally as they are to this day with modifications)
Extract from the original minute book (14/02/1774) at which subscribers met to plan to construct a basic (Inner Harbour only) safe harbour at Mevagissey.
