A warm welcome to Andrew Trevarton, who became the Mevagissey Harbour Master with effect from 1st February 2021.
Andrew has been a fisherman all his life, until recently operating the trawler ‘Galatea’ out of Meva. Well known and respected in the village, he has also served as a Harbour Trustee for many years.
Andrew brings with him a detailed knowledge of harbour affairs which will serve him well, and we wish him a long and successful new career.
At the same time, we say farewell and thank you to Matt Wheeler, who previously ably held the reins as Harbour Master. Matt was unable to resist the call to become Harbour Master of Penzance, his hometown!
