With regard to the application and instillation of a new mussel farm in Mevagissey Bay, the Mevagissey Fishermans Association have lodged a complaint to the Parliamentary Ombudsman about the Marine Management Association. The complaint cites a lack of consultation, ignoring fishing interests and livelihoods, and general mismanagement of the matter.
The application for a new mussel farm in Lantivet Bay (see earlier report) has now been refused.
